Mother-Child-Hospital Bosaso
Hope for women and children
In Bosaso, Somalia, a place of hope is emerging: the first German-Somali mother-and-child hospital. In a region where 98% of women and girls von Genitalbeschneidung (FGM) betroffen sind und medizinische Hilfe oft unbezahlbar ist, bietet unsere Klinik lebenswichtige Versorgung – free, culturally sensitive and accessible. Why this hospital is so important
- 98% of all women/girls in Somalia are affected by FGM.
- No public gynaecological care in the region
- New laws require male consent for treatment
- Shortage of female medical staff
- Over 500,000 people in Bosaso without access to obstetric care
Our Vision
- Free obstetric care, emergency care, and FGM treatment
- Information, counseling, and protection for affected girls
- >70% female clinic staff – for a self-determined future
- A safe place for everyone – regardless of income, origin, or status
Your help saves lives
The hospital is still under construction – your donation will help provide medical equipment, beds, and medication. Every dollar goes directly into the project – without administrative costs.

I launched this project because I have seen too often how women in Somalia suffer—silently, without help, without a voice. This hospital is my passion project. It is intended to be a place where dignity, healing, and hope are possible.
