Mother-Child-Hospital Bosaso
Hope for women and children
In Bosaso, Somalia, a place of hope is emerging: the first German-Somali mother-and-child hospital. In a region where 98% of women and girls are affected by female genital mutilation (FGM) and medical care is often unaffordable, our clinic offers vital care—free of charge, culturally sensitive, and accessible. Over 500,000 women and children currently have no access to gynecological care, prenatal care, or assistance during childbirth. Internally displaced persons, who live in catastrophic conditions, are particularly affected.

I launched this project because I have seen too often how women in Somalia suffer—silently, without help, without a voice. This hospital is my passion project. It is intended to be a place where dignity, healing, and hope are possible.
